In Tennessee you can now open carry and conceal carry a pistol and or long gun without a permit. They did stiffen up some penalties though, you still have to have the permit to carry in parks and or government buildings and they also made it to where if you get caught carrying a pistol or any firearm and you're a felon or someone who's not allowed to have a firearm then they've upped the amount of time you will get in prison.
