I have tried to display an image of the available options but catbox is not working. I'm not altogether sure how I can prove it to you that I amperfectly unable to delete my account.

Go to your profile, then Edit User Info. It will be at the bottom of the column of options on the right.

He is probably doing it from his phone. If you are doing it from your phone, after “edit user info”, there is small box to press on the upper left corner of the screen and then scroll all the way down for “Delete Account.” It is not very intuitive, to OPs credit.
