Ive never in my life seen whole business districts "closed for the holiday" on the 4th. And on a weekend! The whole towns treating it like Thanksgiving or Christmas. It's not a fucking holy day, it's a party. Why is there no service industry and regular ass commerce?

Exactly lol lots of people who wouldn't be off for the day are off anyway and want ice cream
