When people die it really doesnt affect me in anyway. I mean Im old enough I have lost good friends and my dad. I really dont feel anything. I mean their gone and shit keeps happening. My mom will most likely be going soon and wtf? Am I alone here?

Lost my dad 20 years ago, my mother 2 years ago, and my sister 2 months ago. Now I'm on my way out soon. I'm sure we have defense mechanisms that help shield us from disabling grief, so we can carry on with our own lives. Here's song that has a little wisdom to it that's been of comfort to me lately.

"...Is it really an eternal Life we should seek?
Our mission is more than a struggle for breathe Or a few extra rounds in our fight to the death When our mission is Love and Compassion and Grace It's not a test of endurance or a marathon race For Love is the sabre and Love is the shield Love is the only true power we wield And Eternal Love is all you should seek"

Im kinda ok with it, when its your time its your time shit. But depending how you go it could be scary. I mean Im not equating with getting your breath knocked out but when you think you cant breathe it sucks.

Good song, a different sting than I remember.

His whole stage play, The Last Ship, is quite good. This is the only somber song in it, the rest are some rousing English Pub songs and whatnot.

The guitarist is GE Smith, who has played with a lot of people. He was in the Tonight Show Band when Leno was there and was on stage with Dylan, Petty, Clapton, Harrison, McGuinn, etc in their 30th Anniversary show.
