Hell yea, except they might use that as an admission if guilt and let it happen. Would maybe work so long as I don’t actually follow through with the poisoning.
I wouldn’t recommend following through with it. Trapping maybe, but not killing.
Trapping it is an easy way to get toy to go back to your neighbors and let them know they’ve fucked up. The whole, “we really lucked out that I just trapped it rather than accidentally killing your dog. But now that we know he’s been messing up my garden, what will you do to make sure it stops so that I don’t have to?”
I’ll look more into trapping then. Then tell them, ‘hey, look what I found!’
Sounds reasonable.
Be careful with trapping, there are laws and regulations and if they get angry with you, they could call the cops and have you arrested if you don't have the correct "permit" or whatever.
