I have an older model and am fucking over not being able to do shit anymore because 32-bit isn't supported. I don't need anything amazing as I just browse the web so leaning towards a used T495. But if someone has a better suggestion I'm open to it.

I run Linux on nearly everything. Despite the stigma of Ubuntu, anything Debian-->Ubuntu--> is usually stable and decent.

Sometimes I read about issues with dedicated graphics cards.

Most likely I'm getting a T480 with integrated graphics. I don't think I need the T495 and the T480 is supposedly more user serviceable and with much better battery life.

I have a Precision laptop that has an Nvidia chip. Running Linux Mint with the NVIDIA driver it works switching between the integrated and dedicated; but after checking to see if it worked I put it in performance mode and run off the dedicated all the time.

Yeah that's what I would do if I had it. The T495 has like 5 hours battery life due to graphics card, touchscreen, processor, etc.
