On the "back end" actors can make more money off lower cost B rated movies or full on shitty movies then the big budget ones. Because they can do a lot more of the smaller movies in a shorter period of time and then collect royalties as those movies are played on TV & various streaming/rental services. They also need to do one movie a year to keep up their [SAG membership](https://www.sagaftra.org/) that they buy their insurance & other services through.
