I saw Topher Grace had a new show and decided to check it out; only for a lesbian couple with two kids to be a primary focus. There isn't even a purpose behind it, just pure pandering.

Right.

People waste their whole fucking lives sucked into a TV. It's pure consumerism

If you're spending 4+ hours a day consuming tv, you're wasting your life. Come to think of it, social media is no better and I should go for a hike so peace

Social media is a waste, I agree. People show the best parts of their lives to each other while hiding the worst and make each other sick with envy over how much easier everyone else has it.

An anonymous forum, though, where you compete in an arena of ideas...there's worse ways to spend your time.

Yeah it could be worse. I'm glad there's poal over reddit and such, but I'd also like something better

There are still a lot of stupid fucks here dragging discussion down. And discussions tend to hover around really depressing shit (even if a lot of its true)

Why is that a bad thing? It should motivate you to do better. To improve your life in any way you can. If all it does is make you feel bad then the problem was always you. There was never any hope for those kinds of people. I want to see the best part of other people's life. That is what makes life good. It is something to strive for.

Shit, I did that wrong, I was totally candid and honest. Never claimed I was perfect or even good just a normal fuckup but not lying about it. Only had around 14 friends on Fakebook and almost all were family the rest were lovers of Linux as a common interest/hobby.

WAIT, come back, I wanna tell you some stupid shit you won't remember five minutes from now

Years ago on the days off it was sometimes 16 hrs a day with it on in the background when nothing on to watch. Now, online only and I'm picky on what I allow in my brain now being a video pessimist.

Depends on the era. From 1940's - 1950's they wanted everyone to reproduce so that they could siphon the wealth so they put out lots of shows about family and romance. Then from 1960's to 1980's they wanted feminism to break up the family and put women in the workplace. In the 1990's they destroyed the moral character of relationships and the image of men. The 2000's were all just a mindless mix of empty-headed comedy and cheap amusement imagery. Now in the 2020's it's gone full blown Communism, political factions, degeneracy, destruction of all that is good and moral, and praising occult, sex, selfishness, complete absence of family and heritage, and basically just garbage scripts run through the same 20 templates about a thousand times to squeeze the last dollar out of the mindless population as they plunder what's left of our nation and dignity and move their NWO financial hub from US to China where they can finish their despotic zionist plans through Communist authorities.

That’s a bingo, my guy.

The extent of me watching anything is the occasional purchase of an old film in the physical DVD or VHS format. I’ve never watched Veggietales because it looked gay as hell but as an adult who wishes to raise capable children, I have been looking into it. The early seasons show some promise.

A few months ago I picked up a copy of Lean on Me because I know there is no way Hollywood would portray black communities in that manner these days.

One of my favorites will always be Robocop. Anyone who hasnt seen it, grab a copy. It’s a fun film from start to finish.

One word: Anime

If you're going to watch anime, stay the goddamn fuck away from anything remotely resembling a community with it. Shit's full of weeaboo trash and degenerates.

Attack on Titan remarkable scenes:

Levi vs. Reiner

Sasha vs. Meat

Sasha vs. Potato

Love it. As far as watching stuff, on the off chance that I do, I’d will likely be anime. Attack on Titan, full metal alchemist, one punch man. So many good, entertaining shows that couldn’t give two shits about woke

Second reply and it's because I have forgotten one of the best anime's in recent time I've watched, The Pet Girl of Sakurasou. Thought it was going to be just lamer shit but it was a very touching show by the end. It pulls your emotions hard later in the show and the characters depth grows well as the show progresses. Tears were shed at the final episodes they did it so well.

Having a TV in your home is like having a bunch of jews in your living room.

Aye. The whole idea is to craft a little world and drag you in, have you identify with a character and subtly bathe you with a narrative you wouldn't normally find acceptable or rational. A lot of people can't separate that from reality and eventually it becomes their reality. They do whatever - believe whatever the TV, movie, media says. You can't help but be affected by it. Same goes for internets. If it's a "safe space" someone is probably crafting a narrative and soaking people in it.
