Hey , I have 4 chickens and get 6 - 9 every two days . I got lazy after building the coop and didn't build boxes because I was already getting eggs. Would my production increase if I furnished boxes ?

I doubt it. Those are pretty good numbers. I'm relatively new to the chicken game and generally average 3 eggs per day from 4 chickens, so about your average. Different breeds will lay at different rates, and if they get stressed they won't lay as often.
