For example if things got worse and BLM style militants literally came into your residential neighborhood and started attacking and burning and killing. Where could neighbors go to learn basic techniques of how to defend against such a mob as a group? This would be without weapons or with improvised weapons. This would be self defensive only. How to protect your homes and families in such a situation and break up such a mob or discourage them or keep them from choosing your neighborhood.

Perhaps like if the US military was trying to hold a neighborhood in a place but had few weapons.

Including psychological and distraction and improvisation etc.

Again DEFENSIVE ONLY.

I am guessing this would include how to post guards. Where. How to communicate between guards. How to send alerts. How to assemble and deploy neighbors it's at places underthreat. How to establish some leadership. How to deal with neighbors who are uncooperative or worse destructive to defense. Perhaps how to funnel or direct mobs away from vulnerable areas. How to make residences less burnable etc in a hurry. I just sort of see things might go toward a direction of "let's kill whitey in their neighborhoods" and want some kind of prep ideas in case it does go that way later.

Maybe something as simple as someone having a loud alarm only to be sounded if a neighborhood is under threat so neighbors know to gather.

Everyone always talks about individual personal self defense but frankly thatisnt so much the threat. And tons and tons of neighbors will never want guns.

I mean people know how to prep for earthquakes and make their houses less vulnerable. And in wildfire areas they know to keep vegetation away from the House and not have burnable roofs. It just seems like there are things that could be done. Maybe even prepurchasing barbed wire and road barricades to be used if needed. Making homes more fireproof. Identifying areas to evacuate to if needed. Having pumps to be able to pump water to put out fires using swimming pools. Having loud noise makers or stink bombs that people wouldn't be afraid to use rather than lethal weapons. That whale protection ship used some kind of horrible stink bombs of some kind of acid that they threw at whaling ships.

I am NOT talking neighborhood militias. Just the opposite. I want to avoid that. I think that would actually bring trouble and make a place a target.

I am thinking more like hyper neighborhood watch.

Edit; now obviously there will be some neighbors with firearms but I think that needs to be SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDED from any neighborhood organizing or training for liability and attention getting reasons. These days that just causes trouble. Obviously those people on their own would hopefully have some training as a last individual resort but again it just couldn't be included in a neighborhood watch kind of system. Far too inflammatory and full of legal misteps and would keep lots of neighbors from getting involved.

Ideas. Misdirection to attackers via bullhorns or infiltration. Cars to block streets. Pre-purchase barbed wire. Planting very harsh long thorned bushes. Making homes less burnable. Having pumps and hoses and sources of water and materials to stop fires. Having things to pump or dispense foam of soap or oil in roads to make walking difficult for mobs. Having a loud specific recognizable sound alarm only to be used in warning of such an emergency. Having phone lists. Having stink and smoke makers to discourage mobs. Flares. Fire extinguishers for both fires and to cover mobs with choking blinding dust. Having practiced with neighbors or at least discussed who would deploy cars to block streets or barbed wire etc. Having a high view point or a wireless camera deployed above a neighborhood to see what is going on and record evidence. Having videoevidence automatically backed upoff site in multiple copies so, if seized by crooked District Attorneys or police, copies are always available to neighbors for defense of their actions. Big nets. I have always thought large long fishing nets strung between two cars could be very effective in clearing streets of mobs. Perhaps even a rope or two between two cars would be almost as effective although it probably wouldn't keep them in place like a net so they could attack again.

Honestly having regular garden hoses inside the houses that use those adapters allowing them to be hooked to interior sinks and using them to spray a liquid detergent with water might be very effective. There are garden fertilizer nozzles for hoses that could be following very slick soap. Better than anything like oil that would be flammable. Maybe some alcohol or cayenne concentrate for eye stinging would be good to for people at your windows or on your street.
