Have you ever met the type of person who won't tolerate any form of hard work, and laughs at you if you take on any kind of challenge? Left leaning people tend to be the first to move away from areas where life is difficult and into areas where life is easy, while conservative minded people are more likely to stick around through tough times, since they're more willing to take on necessary challenges. So the consumers in society tend to flow into the cities while the producers tend to remain in rural areas.
The oil is becoming to expensive to extract compared to the size of current populations and the quality of life found in western countries. The "useless eaters" have to go, and the only way to do that is to cause social unrest where the "useful eaters" will flee cities cities that are decaying. The "useless eaters" are attracted to the free handouts and are encouraged to bash the "useful eater" demographics. When the unrest starts to boil over, the "useful eaters" will clamor for government control to stop the "feral cities" from bleeding over into rural areas and safe cities (and states) that are not "feral". When food production drastically drops, the "useless eaters" will starve or become "useful" slaves ("You'll Own Nothing And Be Happy About It"... aka "The Great Reset").
It's all about (maintaining) control.
If you wanted to depopulate the world, and you were in power the last thing you would want is to kill people by starvation. Hungry people start riots and revolutions. If oil is the limiting factor in population growth and maintenance, they already know how much of it is left and can calculate what size population it can sustain in the future. They won't let us starve. They will make us infertile with, oh I don't know, a vaccine.
Kill them with a voluntary vaccine... Jim Jones style.
I actually know a faggot couple that have a farm and do loads of work, believe it or not. They don't flaunt their faggotry around either so I have a modicum or two of respect for them for these reasons.
Or some people don't want to spend their entire lives in a town of 200 people in the middle of nowhere
200 people sounds like a thriving metropolis I tend to like it more secluded
A town of 200 is better than a city of thousands.
Yeah let the fools who leave that return as an adult to settle down
