Booze or drugs. Sleep works, too.

Go outside, away from people, and surround yourself with nature.

I use visualization. I close my eyes and imagine my mind is an ice skating rink that's raised 10,000 feet off the ground. Whatever is bothering me I visualize as big steel boxes that are seemingly impenetrable sitting on the surface of the rink. Or sometimes I see them as spikes that are poking into my mind. All I do is imagine myself skating on the rink and throwing the boxes off, or pulling the spikes out and throwing them away. As soon as I do, the problem doesn't bother me and I can sleep. Of course, it doesn't solve the problem but it helps me to get my mind off it for awhile.

Emotions are good, sentimentality pretending to be emotions are not good. Emotion is created by the body via hormones, which can linger for hours. Sentimentality are fake emotions induced by ideas.

A movie can make you feel sad etc but you snap out of it quickly, as soon as the delivery guy rings the door.

You can create feelings by dwelling on thoughts and ideas, that's sentimentality, and it's as fake as the ideas in your head. You can feel things observing reality, those are real emotions, and the thoughs and feelings that come from that are also real.

Searching and depending on that next great idea to worship caused the dot com bubble to pop, and it's causing the failures of big tech. Their ideology is bunk, originating as a thought, from a moron with money. That's why it always backfires, and never suceeds.
