Whatever you do, do not put any pressure on the top of the laptop. If possible, pack it like new laptops are packed. Cut the silhouette into larger pieces of sytrofoam, so that the sides of the laptop slide into it . Pack that snugly into a box. Then pack that box into another one with lots of bubble wrap.
