I grew up in Tampa area and had a friend whose parents were high up in the scientology church. I remember playing with a videocamera in their house filming bits of my friends birthday party. The parents absolutely flipped their shit over having anything filmed in their house. I didn't understand at the time and just though they were huge assholes. They are very weird about being filmed, in general.

Remember that famous scientology death of Lisa Mcpherson? I remember seeing a map all the locations the scientology people drove this sick lady around and one of the locations was at the day job of my friends mom.

Those people are spooky.

I had to look up LM, I confused her with the other woman who died of neglect and had cockroach bites on her, but she was on the east coast iirc.

I feel bad for that woman suffering in that cabana like that.

There was a time online when people wanted to goad the scientologists, but I remember when they found stockpiles of weapons in an apartment owned by them somewhere in CLW. They can make people disappear. So I thought, let's not poke the bear.
