I grew up in Alaska. If you are moving there to avoid black people you will be disappointed. The 2 largest cities have military bases which contribute to the problem. Another issue is the economy but if you are skilled and willing to do physical labor you wont have issue. The thing I miss most is actually the climate, the winters are long but so quiet and nice.
