There are a lot of niggers in Anchorage and there are Eskimos everywhere else

I grew up in Alaska. If you are moving there to avoid black people you will be disappointed. The 2 largest cities have military bases which contribute to the problem. Another issue is the economy but if you are skilled and willing to do physical labor you wont have issue. The thing I miss most is actually the climate, the winters are long but so quiet and nice. No daytime in the winter. No nighttime in the summer. Only spring and fall are normal: kind of annoying. Coastal area of the panhandle is interesting, also the mountainous areas. It's so vast you can'r really generalize about it.

What State are you moving from? Are you used to minus 40 degrees or colder in the winter? Have your guns shipped up vs. driving them yourself across Canada to avoid seizure.

Had a buddy who tried to make a shot of it, he had lived there as a kid, but going back after so many years made life too hard to make it. I think he lasted almost 3 years, and he had help from a friend already established there.
