That's my line of work. It's possible to go the self taught route and get into these jobs but it definitely makes it a lot harder. I'd probably be an electrician or plumber if I did things over again. I definitely wouldn't do a ton of student loan debt again.

No degree, already make 150,000/yr as a senior lead, so part of me thinks quitting may be the right approach on this one

Oh. What’s the point of it then? Just wanted to check it off a list? I used to want to get a mechanical or electrical eng degree but forget it now.
