You think commonsense applies to what judges, police and politicians are going to do in the USA? Have you heard about standing down orders being given allowing mobs to lot and burn down those "essential services" you think are held in such high regard by the powers that be? If a grocery store were to do that, there is no guarantee the government would care or do anything about it at all. It would depend on the whims of our tyrants. Especially if there is no law on the books.
