I really was not meaning you specifically. I just was trying to make the point that drugs are drugs. People seem to think that because someone or another talked a government into making one drug or another illegal for whatever motive all of a sudden that drug is demonized and bad when the drugs that did not get made illegal are not considered bad.
Yeah but that is way too black and white, putting a mild addiction in the same box as hardcore drugs that kill millions every year. Painkillers aren't illegal either, I was given tons for a minor injury once, but had the wisdom to refuse them.
Caffeine addiction reminds me of old Survivor episodes. Almost everyone is "addicted" to caffeine, but after a couple days on the island they get over it.
If people are dumb enough to risk their life knowing the effects of hard drugs then who is in the right to stop them?
I agree except for the fact that those people interfere in an otherwise functioning society (drunk driving accidents, etc). Hardcore penalties i.e. prison thus segregation would fix that. Or just spike everything with fentenyal.
