I want to see a food company that sells unsalted, fresh foods that are frozen. They would package everything into vacuum sealed bags, irradiate them, and freeze them. Then those would be packaged into boxes and shipped to stores.
Salt used to preserve meat, now it is unnecessary because we can vacuum seal and irradiate food. Salt just kills us. 1/3 of us will die of heart disease, which is partly due to the salt we eat.
There is no reason for a chicken pot pie to have 850 mg of sodium / salt in it. Chips used to have 200mg+ of sodium per 1 ounce serving, now the lightly salted versions have 60-65mg of sodium per ounce.
Did you know an Israeli patented the idea of low salt food, and a decade after the patent expired, they still go after anyone who makes low salt foods, mafia style?
Believe it or not there is no conclusive evidence linking salt to hypertension or any other cardiac issue. It's a myth, like needing to drink 64 ounces of water a day.
You should drink a gallon or more of water day 64 oz is retarded low. 1 oz per lb.
Show me the evidence behind it. Not an explanation of why it's theorized to be necessary, but actual evidence that suggests it is necessary.
