Aside from my , accepting Mary as "co-redemptrix" is not required of Catholics. We have a high view of Mary, but that particular belief is still being debated. What we mean by it at least on the surface though is that through her cooperation with the Holy Spirit all men were redeemed and without it all men would not have been saved. Personally, I'm still not sold on the idea, but have no strong opinion. Either way, it doesn't look like it will ever be a required dogma.
