Was raised protestant, with some Catholic family so I have attended services before, making Catholic services extremely fascinating and exotic to me (was a pallbearer at one a few years ago - some mafia there, but I'm not Italian). Only attended one mass with Catholic friends in high school on one of their youth group retreats - believe I took communion though Protestants are usually not permitted. More of a Deist now, but my faith is complicated - just got back from my non denominational Church. Went to a funeral for a bartender friend who drank himself to death last fall, just took the blessing. Did do the cross with holy water when exiting.

What should I expect if I go to a Latin mass?

But don't you realize that the reason Catholics worship Mary as the Queen of Heaven is because she is necessary, yet missing from Protestantism? Without a mother goddess, there is a huge hole in Christianity that demands to be filled. The Jews filled that hole with the Matronit and the Shekhina of the Kabbalah. Catholics filled it with Mother Mary. The Protestant sects are always going to be deficient without a mother goddess. The holy family is God the Father, the Great Mother (Holy Spirit), and God the Son. In conventional Christianity the mother element in the trinity has been transformed into a vague inhuman force or energy. But it is inherently female in its nature. The common people around the world who practice Catholicism instinctively know this, which is why Mary is worshipped as the Mother of God around the world. The Vatican has given up its efforts to stop this Mary worship, because it cannot be stopped. The people demand it.

None of what you said is Biblical. Anyone can come up with a pleasing religious structure, but that doesn't mean it's God's word. You either worship the God of the Bible, or you worship a god of your own making.
