What was your experience?

I was a passenger in a gnarly car wreck. First off, I had the most intense deja vu right before the crash - enough so that I adjusted my seat, sat up straight, and closed my eyes; as ready as I would ever be for the impact that came next. After our nearly head-on collision, my door was crimped shut so I had to climb up on my seat and jump out of the busted window to get out. As I was jumping out, someone reached out and grabbed my hand (as you would if helping someone down a large step). I took it without a second thought. They steadied me enough that I landed on my feet despite my badly battered knees and legs. Later I learned that no one else had been there at that time (the other occupant I had to drag out of the car as he had a broken hip). Who or what held my hand? I like to think some sort of guardian.

Depends on if you believe sleep paralysis visions are real or all made in the mind. Entered it 4 times total, first and second time I saw a shadow figure slowly walking towards me, second time I moved my arm without moving it... I could feel it moving around and my fingers clenching but could see my arm was not moving. Last time I heard heard voices that I somehow knew were the voices of dead people talking to me... started off as whispers and ended up violently screaming at me.

To;dr Sleep paralysis is fucking terrifying

Ugh the arm thing. I've experience sleep paralysis and more than once I moved an arm or leg "out" of itself. Like, I could feel my arm wasn't moving, but could also feel my arm lifting, with resistance, as if being brought back down by huge strands of stretchy thick glue. Freaked me right the hell out. Just wanted to wake up after that.

I’ve read that you can just stand up out of your body and look at yourself if you try hard enough. Haven’t gotten the balls to try it yet though.

Had an alien abduction night terror once. I was laying on a table looking up at around 5 beings examining my body. The thing is I could move my eyes but the image remain perfectly in the center of my sight. Eventually one of these beings noticed I was conscious and bent over and stared into my eyes close in front of my face. It felt like it was looking into my soul.

Eventually It subsided. The odd thing is I don't remember any physical paralysis just an inability to regain my "vision" of the world around me.

Hmm… this might actually explain those people out there who swear they were abducted. Did it feel real?

It didn't "feel" real, it looked real if that makes sense. I was under the impression it was my brain creating this imagery but it looked as if I was watching something that was happening through a viewport in my vision.

I get it often and do not think it originates in the mind.

What do you see when you get it, also what do you figure it is? Spirits of some kind? I’ve read that many people actually see the same things, there are a few common ones waaay too specific to be coincidence. The shadow man I saw is apparently the most common one.

Wiggle your toes. I promise you it works.

This, focus on your big toe and moving it on one foot and you'll break out. Or just try really hard to sit up straight with an explosive manner.

I’ll try the toe thing next time, but I actually do the explosive sit up thing.

I get sleep paralysis from time to time, was nightly when I was younger. I always fight to shake it off. It feels like being pulled in to something. I always wonder what would happen if I went along with it, but when it occurs it’s terrifying and I just want out. Never saw the visions, that sounds intense.

I’m building up the courage to do it intentionally one of these days. I want to go into it on my terms, I’ve heard you can do some trippy shit with it. I did the moving arm thing but I was actually trying to leave my body like some people say you can do, and after that I believe it.

Yea it feels like you’re sinking into the back of your head to me. I haven’t entered it in awhile because I immediately recognize the feeling and jolt myself out of it. Supposedly after a few times you can control the visions but I was always too scared.
