What was your experience?

I was a passenger in a gnarly car wreck. First off, I had the most intense deja vu right before the crash - enough so that I adjusted my seat, sat up straight, and closed my eyes; as ready as I would ever be for the impact that came next. After our nearly head-on collision, my door was crimped shut so I had to climb up on my seat and jump out of the busted window to get out. As I was jumping out, someone reached out and grabbed my hand (as you would if helping someone down a large step). I took it without a second thought. They steadied me enough that I landed on my feet despite my badly battered knees and legs. Later I learned that no one else had been there at that time (the other occupant I had to drag out of the car as he had a broken hip). Who or what held my hand? I like to think some sort of guardian.
