Prevent cavities by rinsing with with hydrogen peroxide before you brush. It kills the bacteria that cause decay. It will hurt like hell if you have infections in your mouth, but keep using it daily. It won't hurt at all when your mouth is heathy. I've been using it for over 30 years. Hadn't been to a dentist in maybe 25 years until a few months ago when I went to get a broken tooth repaired. They asked how long since I had been to a dentist, and I saw their rolling eyes when I told them. During the exam I scored very well on the periodontal charting. Afterwards she said a cleaning was 'optional'. I shared my peroxide regimen, and she said, "Don't tell anyone, it will put us out of business."
Great diet stuff overall, Westin price is gold. Buy the book if you can afford it, or i can Venmo /send you crypto (I can probably just email it to you?). I had a lot of cavities from not flossing and not going to the dentist while being poor for awhile and came across this book. Did the diet nearly perfectly but there was still a lot of rot. Find a good dentist/ prosthodontics to drill all the rot out first, and then this is great maintenance. It can help caries and prevent future cavities, but not cure big ones now.
Also, look into Novamin— you can get it in Sensodyne UK version (you can buy on Amazon imported I think). Again, terrible teeth over here for awhile and largely no problem for a few years after getting property treated. My guy will give me as many big tube of high fluoride stuff I ask for, but the Novamin works better for Me. Pricier, but real good results.
Two final tips: floss all the time and get a water pick 2 when brushing, don’t rinse your mouth out after. My very smart dentist/ prosthodontics (dude is all about conspiracy theories, guns, gold silver etc) taught me that you keep the pastes on your teeth after to soak into the teeth holes etc to heal it up. I used to rinse with water right after— don’t do it. Gotta let the fluoride or Novamin sink in to help fill in the holes in your enamel.
Reach out with any questions and good luck in your journey.
Thanks for the tips and offering to buy the book. I was able to find a pdf of the book here https://www.vyzivujicitradice.cz/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/Weston_Price_-_Nutrition_and_P.pdf .
I think your dentist is right about leaving tooth paste on. I always did this unintentionally just because I was lazy. I've had very few cavities. But with my sweet tooth, by any other standards my teeth should have fallen out by now.
Tideglusib
Fluoride bath for your teeth. Don't drink it. It is covalent with tooth material.
