Final Fantasy IV and VI, but not Mystic Quest. Star Ocean and Tales of Phantasia as well.
Just don't use ZSNES; it's super ancient and was never very accurate. Out of the classic emulators, SNES9x was and is the best. Some of the new "core" emulators are supposedly good.
If possible, flash cart/copier on OG hardware or an FPGA clone such as MiSter or Analogue SuperNT. These are all rather expensive, but worth it.
I quite liked Mystic Quest though it was probably quite small and simple. But I may be looking back on it with rose tinted glasses as well.
It's a good beginner RPG, if bare boned. Great battle track though.
Maybe I just don't invest that much into RPGs because I know in 3-6 months I'll be bored with them and looking to stat-max with cheats or console commands rather than grinding.
