The adjustable base we bought was a different brand than our Tempur-Pedic mattress. It's not very useful unless you either sleep alone or are comfortable with the way your spouse likes it. If you get a king sized bed you will be able to adjust both sides differently. Anything smaller doesn't work out that way.

We got two twin XL bases and two mattresses, One firm the other medium. I have to push em together when they scoot apart since I finished the laminate flooring recently. A few rubber squares under the legs would probably fix that issue.
