I am thinking of going on a diet of beef, chicken and fish, plus cheese and the like, and quail egg, I don't eat chicken eggs because they give me spots, I think I am allergic to them, I don't like milk too. I'll most likely eat potatoes too.

Do any of you have a similar diet, or have already done this diet ?

I want to lose a few pounds, and stay away from vegetables, bread, etc.

Why stay away from vegetables and bread if youre oing to eat potatos? Your plan makes no sense.

I like fries or baked potatoes. But I eat bread every day and can't lose weight, so I want to get rid of the bread.

But if youre eating potatos youre still stuffing yourself with starch. Pretty simple. Do it right or dont do it at all.

This is correct. Also no alcohol at all.

That is essentially my diet. A high fat, low carb, mainly meat and egg diet. It is the healthiest way you can eat. I’m sure a lot of people argue with me about that but if you avoid carbs, a high fat high protein diet is optimum. And the only additions I would make is adding avocados, nuts (not peanuts, which are legumes), berries, and coconuts. Eat like that for a few months and you will have never felt better.

Carbs make you fat, not fat. Fat is one of the best things you can eat.

Make a list of what you eat and at what time you eat, I would like examples.

Every morning I usually eat five or six eggs Cooked in ghee, sometimes four eggs with a small steak and avocado.

Pre-make a bunch of chicken wings on Sundays and take them for work during the week, sometimes leg quarters or thighs, I eat it with buffalo sauce and blue cheese, I’ll also eat handfuls of Berries or nuts throughout the day. And sometimes for lunch I will just bring a bunch of lunch meat like roast beef or pepperoni and some cheese and roll it up and eat it, dipping it in mustard. Sometimes I will bring a couple big cans of tuna fish and mix in a bunch of mayonnaise, avocado slices hot sauce, and chopped up hard-boiled eggs and eat it with a spoon. Hard boiled eggs are a big part of my diet, I will make two dozen at the beginning of the week and munch on them when I need a snack.

For dinner I’ll eat steak and mushrooms, for a lamb stew w oxtails a lot.

As an appetizer I will roast some sliced bones that I get from the butcher for free, scoop the marrow out and eat it. If I feel like cheating I’ll eat it on baguette slices .

I love nice cheeses on a cheese crisp cracker, or like I said before, baguette on the occasion that I cheat a little.

A big thing too is organs. I try to eat as many organs as I can. I’ll eat liver at least once a week, I’m a big fan of grilled beef heart. I love salmon and crawfish and crabs. The opportunities are endless

Yeah, adding potatoes makes no sense.

Do it. Keto. Did it for 4 yrs

And what is your opinion, what you think is better, changed, improved, worsened, be more specific and explanatory. Thank you.

Do it. Throw some greens in there maybe 3 times a week so shitting doesn't suck.

Sugar is your worst enemy. Literally. Learn it thoroughly

Diets are temporary. Once you’re done, you’ll go back to old habits and regain the weight. What you need is a lifestyle plan: something you can comfortably stick to for life.

If you can remember and stick to the following, you’ll be set for life:

Eat plenty of protein, fats, and fiber.

Keep carbs and sugar to a minimum. (Not all sugars are created equal. Sugar from fruit is a lot healthier than sugar from processed food).

Exercise every day. Alternate between muscle and cardio exercises every day, or make a schedule that works best for you, just make sure you allow your muscles time to rest. (Muscles are key to increasing your metabolism and burning more calories)

Fast once every week. 16, 24, or 32 hours are all good options, but don’t fast more than 24 hours unless you’re a massive fatass - you don’t want to accidentally start eating your own muscles due to not having enough fat for your body to burn.

TL;DR

Also, once you get used to fasting, you’ll notice you’re not as hungry as often anymore (your stomach has shrunk). That’s when you can more easily switch to eating only once or twice a day.

You will make tremendous progress. What you are eating is by far the best thing you could eat (minus the potatoes). It is also the most nutrient dense. It will do wonders for insulin balance and response, allowing you to lose a great deal of weight.

On the issue of potatoes, they are quite starchy and will break down fairly quickly in the body, prompting an elevated insulin response. If you are looking to lose weight optimally, then this is the last thing you want, the greater your insulin levels and resistance, the farther you will be placed when it comes to acquiring fat adaptation. Fat adaptation plays a key role for weight loss because any deficits you impose upon yourself while sticking to a proper macronutrient distribution will result in your body easily switching to fat as fuel from carbohydrates. If your insulin remains uncontested, then this does not happen. Instead, the body will signal greater hunger intensity and frequency to make up the deficit or it will lower metabolic rate. This is mitigated with a carb-less eating pattern.

From my experiences, I lost a substantial amount of weight. What was most surprising about it was how relatively simple it was to maintain it largely because my hunger and satiety signaling were finally readjusted to the extent that ravenous chronic hunger was no longer felt. Instead, hunger became easy to ignore and before I knew it I found myself following an intermittent fasting routine which also helps regulate insulin resistance and response as effectively as eating properly. Together, the synergy between the two facilitated weight loss to unbelievable degrees.

In summation, I pursue obesity/weight loss within the context of hormonal balance in such that weight loss is relatively easy to achieve when hormonal imbalances are corrected through the consumption of food that adhere to a proper macronutrient distribution (Mostly fat, next to no carbs). DO this, and many hormones associated with the storage and withdrawal of energy, hunger, satiety, eventually correct themselves to the point where you will find yourself following eating patterns that pre-industrialization civilization regularly followed.

No potatoes.

Minimal carbs.

Drink only water.

During ketosis, take Alka Seltzer before bed.

Take fiber or eat cruceiforms like broccoli.

I can eat bread or pasta one meal a day and keep a decent weight. Don’t eat low fat, fake sugar, processed crap. Eat everything else in moderation.
