It has to use some kind of communication medium. Very likely wireless spectrum of some kind. Also get a field strength meter capable of detecting frequencies in the 50-60 Ghz range or even higher. They make specialized equipment capable of locating RF frequencies across wide RF spectrums. Using a directional antenna you can find carrier waves aimed in your direction. Having mentioned all of this, it's only likely they can do this to you when you're in a known position. If you travel outside of the beam, the signal would go away.

It's sad that you can't reason with a crazy person, but that's the way it is. When they lose touch with reality, they also lose the ability to comprehend logic. They lose their common sense. Nothing you say to them will shake their delusion, not even if you prove to them that it is all in their head. They won't believe you.
OP, if you're not just being an asshole, but actually are hearing voices, it's because you have schizophrenia, an incurable mental disease. The voices aren't real, they are imaginary, even though they seem real to you. But, of course, you don't believe me, because crazy people never listen to reason. Never. I've talked to enough people with manias and mental problems to know the futility of trying to reason with them. It's a waste of time.
