The problem is no unifying code of tenets to live by. For a while religion took that spot, people in mass read in a book and believed that: murder was wrong, adultery is wrong, theft and dishonesty is wrong. But over time people have fallen away from religion and core tenets of belief. Now adultery is ok because the woman just wasn't happy, murder is fine as long as the government sanctions it, and theft and dishonesty is at the heart of international and domestic business. Humans are made, not born. Without a unifying belief system that has simple rules everyone can believe in and follow it all falls apart. I think that's why national socialism became so popular in Germany in the 1930s. People could unify again with simple tenets to share amongst the vast population. Add a centralized organization that does nothing but spread fear and division and its not too hard to fathom how we ended up here. There is no longer a going back in my mind. The only way forward is conquest of one ideology or the other. A society stuck in the intellectual limbo of debate; on whether a man born with a penis is a man or not; will not last nor prosper.
