Ask him why there are so many stories about bad reactions. When he tries to brush you off, ask why you never hear anything about other vaccines that are commonly given to many people, like influenza, pneumonia, tetanus, MMR, and chicken pox. Don't present it like you're smug, ask like you genuinely want to know and are concerned.
