That doesn't make any logical sense. That's why it's important to control your emotions. Decisions based on emotion, like exacting revenge, are almost never well thought out. If you shoot the traitor you still have the enemy to contend with. If you shoot the enemy the traitor has no one to betray you to and you have no enemy to contend with.
Practical question, was it better to go and kill Afghans, Koreans, Vietnamese or would it have been better to kill the subversive traitors that were in the US?
So long as you have traitors in your midst, you'll have enemies.
