When Sabbatai Zevi, who claimed himself the Messiah was challanged to be either shot with an arrow and killed (which would not happen if he was a "god") chose to convert to Islam instead, he created the Crypto Jewish sect of Islam called the Donmeh. The Saudi Royal family of Wahhabists are the modern version of these crypto jews.
