I didn't want to go there - a secret special relationship with demons story, as horrific and frightening as it could be to many, wouldn't advance their control over believers. They use non-religious, plausible but frightening, narratives to push people away from truth and instill fear and dependency. Space Aliens fits the requirement. Demons, not so much. I am aware of the underlying truth. Demons. They're going down for the final count.
