Compromised in what way?
And where could I find a simpleton's version of BSD?
The init process is now very complex and convoluted. It runs software which is easy to insert bugs and obfuscate. Systemd provides no advantages, has many disadvantages, is a security nightmare and bug haven, providing an extremely wide attack surface. It was rabidly promoted for absolutely no reason. All opposed were viciously attacked across all platforms.
Things like this don't happen unless the intelligence community wants it. Prior to systemd, they used physical hardware to spy on linux users. For some reason they don't do that anymore. What a coincidence.
