Linux is for autists, not retards. Retards use iOS.
Honestly, bsd is what that person would use.
Any linux distro with systemd is compromised.
Compromised in what way?
And where could I find a simpleton's version of BSD?
The init process is now very complex and convoluted. It runs software which is easy to insert bugs and obfuscate. Systemd provides no advantages, has many disadvantages, is a security nightmare and bug haven, providing an extremely wide attack surface. It was rabidly promoted for absolutely no reason. All opposed were viciously attacked across all platforms.
Things like this don't happen unless the intelligence community wants it. Prior to systemd, they used physical hardware to spy on linux users. For some reason they don't do that anymore. What a coincidence.
I've been looking at BSD for some time. What do you think about (based off freeBSD)? I've heard there are forks of BSD that are fucked same as linux, but I don't know much more than that.
There are two main forks of BSD. One is considered more secure than Linux. The other is considered extremely secure.
I've not played with BSD in a number of years and have no opinion on TrueOS.
I can tell you for sure that if you want integrity, you're looking at some form of BSD.
As a side note, I know there exists some level of linix binary compatibility on BSD. I've never played with it and I don't know the full implications of it. But at least you have application options should you desire.
Temple OS
Mint.
They'll be using something before Intel's i-series hit the market and most likely with BSD.
Since you said Linux for a retard that's never used Linux, stick with the popular ones - Ubuntu (or a variant), and Fedora if you are feeling adventurous.
My based fren recently uninstalled my Win10, replaced it with LinuxMint. It's XP, basically. I love it.
Cleanest? You could always do one of these: https://www.gnu.org/distros/free-distros.html#for-pc but the learning curve is steep.
I've been running Manjaro for a year. No issues. If you're a linux noob coming from Windows I don't recommend jumping straight into a neckbeard distro like Gentoo or one of the one's linked above.
Just install Manjaro it's the cleanest and most user-friendly in my opinion. BSD and other not very well-known distros will have compatibility issues that'll make you want to slam your face through a plate-glass window. Trust me on this.
Im going to have to go with Manjaro for noobs looking for a Windoes replacement. Based in Arch, good cimpatability, and support for multimedia such as gaming. If you just want an internet machine with basic office apps go for Ubuntu. If you want a development machine for programming like web development go for LMDE.
If you have never used Linux but want it clean... MX-Linux. I know Manjaro is mentioned; but Manjaro is a rolling release and it eats itself during massive updates similar to Windows 10.
I've been running it for 2 years without an issue. I update every week.
I've had major problems with MX (Debian based) because the packages are ancient.
Manjaro is good; but if he is wanting to get away from "Windows" behavior, rolling release is not the way to go.
Compile Arch.
