The people who were chosen to occupy Israel by God were supposed to kill all of the Canaanites because they were baby sacrificing, murdering, cannibal sodomites. They didn't kill them all and ended up interbreeding with some of them and their devil worshiping ways lived on. They infiltrate and corrupt everything.
