You need to do a biopsy and get a pathology report to rule out the differential diagnosis. Even medical imaging (ultrasound, ct scan, MRI) is often inconclusive with regards to determining whether the tumor is benign or malignant. Benign lipomas and liposarcomas often present very similarly.
