I've used anti-viral cold sore cream, Abreva, to remove a couple of viral warts quite successfully. Killed 'em dead as hell, and quickly too, like just a few days. They haven't returned.
Really? Never heard of it, I will order some. I have a wart on the side of my head, I don't want to use compound W cause, it burns, also would be a big white dot on my head. This stuff gets rid of warts?
Some warts are caused by viruses, yes, and this stuff works on some viruses, designed to stop herpes simplex 1 virus (aka cold sores), it also can kill viral warts. It killed mine almost immediately. Very impressive results. The warts have not returned. Nothing else I tried ever worked on them.
It's sold in drug stores on the shelf, but 2 grams is almost $24. Does a really great job on cold sores too. You just put a thin film on, so even the 2 grams lasts a while. Get the tube and not the pump - the pump is stupid.
Abreva is the brand name, from GlaxoSmithKline.
Wallmart sells it for $17.63 apparently. I'm buying it in the wrong store:)
Cool. I'm going to buy it online. CASTOR Oil, when I was a kid, placed castor oil on wart on my knee and my arm, every morning and every night. And that got rid of them. Damn compound W just seems to burn everything, and leaves a huge white crust. The wart still lives underneath compound W. Anyhow, thanks for info, Ima buy it and try it.
Granddad worked in machine shop, had wart on his ankle/feet. He explained wart is a virus, castor oil is oil, starves the wart/ VIRUS of air it needs to survive.
