Is there a circuit of this somewhere, using machinery powered from fuel made from crops to plant, harvest and produce fuel? I know you can do it if you use humans or animals to do the planting (powering your humans and animals from the food). I thought combustion engines were too inefficient.

trees reproduce on their own and are grown natrually.

they are easily chopped and then the energy gotten back can be more than what took to harvest them. the ability to store and produce lots of energy is a value.

with pastures they could be harvested easy to heat a structure or power a wheel with a certain engine im sure. they grow back.

I'm not saying it can't be done. It certainly takes a different paradigm that you normally see as far as biodiesel today.

All of it seems like a really roundabout way to harvest the energy of the sun. I think we should just use fossil fuels until solar/fusion/thorium gets worked out and batteries get better.
