I understand exactly where you are coming from. I used to be just as narrow-minded, arrogant and foolish as you are now. What changed for me was my realization that it was ridiculous for me to think that I knew anything about anything. Where did I get off, assuming that I was wiser than the millions upon millions of Christians who for 2,000 years had devoted their entire lives to Christ? If you ever start to doubt the extent of your knowledge, or your ability to know anything at all, you may begin to perceive something of the spirit that is all around you. Materialism is a pathetically limited world view. It's like trying to peer into a palace of wonders through a keyhole. What you don't see is infinitely greater and finer than all you do see.
