How long ? how wide ?
- 1 day, my city -> No big deal
- 2 days, 100km radius -> quite a few issues, food wasted, someone dies but it is ok
- 4 days, 200km radius -> Stard being hungry, food dwindling fast, no cellphones, no television, no communication
- 8 days, 400km radius -> Get ready to defend your stuff with whatever you have, people becomes unpredictable
- 16 days, 800km radius -> It is you or me, people from cities will invade the land, hoping to find food
The outcome is wildly unpredictable, sheer luck will be more relevant than being prepared
Now that is the million dollar question, isn’t it?
I’d imagine they’d want it to last for a while, but not so much that they can’t reign in the chaos. The point of this would be to sell us a solution that’ll make sure this never happens again. You’d need an ID to do anything on the internet, probably.
But yeah, imagine they fuck it up and they can’t reign it back. Imagine the grid stays down for good... bad times.
