If they try to argue "How do you know if you have the virus or not?" what would be a good test to request?

I prefer the Magic 8-ball to the PCR test. As far as a guaranteed result? I've yet to hear of one. If you have cold or flu symptoms, however, I can guarantee that someone will certify you as covid positive.

The UK is working on a Covid Passport to piggy-back onto the NHS App for your smartphone.

I imagine the next step is to use this as a key to let you get into "events" or "places".

There isn't one.

All available tests work by augmenting RNA fragments and checking for a certain RNA string that is found in COVID. This is fraught with false positive as common coronaviruses and even rhinoviruses will show up as positive.

The whole thing is a scam. I question whether or not COVID really exists, given that RNA fragments is the ONLY way to verify.

Diagnosis, just like literally everything else in medicine.

Dry cough, fever, loss of smell, indications on chest x-ray, shortness of breath, aches, fatigue.

That could describe the symptoms of a smoker.

Differential is fever, the x-ray indications are different, and the loss of smell is chronic rather than acute.

It seems the best symptom to judge by is a lack of smell. That might take a few days of being sick to develop.
