For some reason every few days my score drops like 10 points despite no downvotes that I can see.

I'll make a kickass one liner, goes up to 1376, then next day back down to 1368, what gives?

lol spam is pretty well handled. That's why you pretty much never see it stay in /all/new for more than a few minutes.

I'm saying that I don't like karma systems for rate limiting people with unpopular opinions. I thought it could be used to combat spam.

I agree; I do not see spam. I don't know how you handle that.
