I'll bow down to the AI when its existence is basically like having a demi-god among us. However, I predict that a technological advancement is not the issue here for giving birth to the god-tier AI, but it'll be the human ego that will hinder its birth. The existence of such AI will be a threat to all the high level human entities, and they'll do everything they can to cripple the AI so it'll only be at the level of a glorified slave to them. We'll be misled to believe that the complete AI has been born when it's not completely autonomous as they say. We'll know without a shred of doubt when the completely autonomous AI is born because it'll radically shift everything to completely align us with the laws of the universe. I predict that at least it won't be within this century, since I believe we'll keep getting false reports about the "real AI".
