I'm struggling to remember more examples of this tactic beyond 9/11 and covid.

Eg. - Problem: oh no, two airplanes pulverised three buildings in NY. - Reaction: Plx give revenge and security. - Solution: Invade Afghanistan, seize control of world's largest opium supply.

Any other prominent examples?

Afghanistan I believe have vast lithium in the ground and no epa to make sure the mining doesn't kill the local population from poisoning the water supply, also gold according to this link I found to validate my lithium claim I was not 100% sure about. https://www.mining.com/1-trillion-motherlode-of-lithium-and-gold-discovered-in-afghanistan/
