Omg OP do you think at all? Quarantines work extremely well if they’re very strict and they happen when an outbreak is small.
What we’ve done in response to covid does not work and is stupid, but an early, strict lockdown would have been a very reasonable attempt.
It may not have worked, but it would have had a good enough chance to try and then it’s obvious when you can end it off you fail.
This is such a useless and hypothetical thing to debate now anyway because it didn’t happen and it’s not even something I’ve heard people talk about much so idk why I even responded.
When H1N1, the Swine flu, and TB went rampant we never quarantined, and masked up.
Actually there were quarantines for H1N1 and Swine flu. They were very strict and limited to areas where it was happening very early. There was also a short run on n95 masks at the time. The only reason I know about this was a friend who is a medical equipment logistics guy talking about it at the time because it wasn’t happening with the general public.
But again you’re just talking nonsense so idk why I’m responding
You do realize the Wuhan Virus is another flu, right?
Quarantine's work if you know which people are infected in which people are not and you're actually able to round up and isolate the infected people which is not the situation we had in China as by the time the virus was discovered it was already out in the open. A single infected person gets out of your country and the whole lock down is worth fuck all.
