What browser do you recomend?
Copy to clipboard, hold thumb down for a couple seconds on the box where you submit your link. Paste should come up , then you hit the paste button. Then you hit grab title. Should work. If the link shows up red, shorten the link by going back into the box and deleting from the very end of the link until the text turns Grey. Then hit submit.
If you are on linux (debian, arch, etc.), there are free clipboard managers that are uber easy to use.
I laughed that an arch user would have problems with the clipboard. You should recommended lynx to him too lol
I'm not sure he can see the clipboard content by default on arch unless it's KDE manjaro maybe? I did not imply that arch would cause his problems.

Arch is such a difficult distro, it definitely requires pretty deep cli knowledge to get it to work right (or used to anyway), it would be strange if he missed that detail but who knows. I'm mint/cinnamon cuz I'm lazy. If you don't mind me asking what flavor do roll with?

He's probably on mobile. My mobile is pinephone so it's linux, would have no clue how to help him.
I have this problem occasionally. I restart the browser or do a CTRL+F5 (force refresh if you are looking through the menu). That usually clears it.
Type any key then delete it. Your clipboard will now be able to post the URL!
