I don't need a whole web server. What little I need I can accomplish with a C# Web API. I don't even like AWS anyways because they make simple things idiotically complicated. I don't want to have to set up a lot of security either that's a big part of it. Just a static HTML host with a basic web API would be fantastic any ideas?

If you're open to aws just host static files in an s3 bucket with a domain cname. Most ftp clients support it. But it's definitely the most faggy.

Plus it's Amazon and I kind of hate Amazon. I also kind of hate Microsoft. And also I kind of hate Google. Lol.

Yeah, that's why it's the most faggy. I've been thinking about this too. I know the aws eco-system cold but I hate doing business with them. So I'll be following this thread.

I think you are quite justified in not liking Amazon. Also Microsoft. ...so why would you even consider using either AWS for hosting or C# for your API?? ...There are plenty of low-cost hosts out there that can serve your needs (or even free ones but then you usually have to carry their ads).
