My work mandated the shot for me today. Everyone else at work has been asked to get it. I have not been there long. Today I was asked to give my two weeks.

I have worked there for less than three months. According to our employment law I am not required to be given any compensation.

Its a small public company, not a large corporation.

I have not submitted anything in writing.

I was not verbatim asked to give my two weeks.

International travel is required.

You were asked to give your two weeks notice.

I wouldn't comply with that.

Force them to fire you.

Document everything.

[–] 19 pts

They are firing you for not participating in a medical experiment. Illegal and literally a crime against humanity.

Lawyer up.

[–] 8 pts

I did make a point that these treatments are only on an emergency use basis.

[–] 7 pts

No more "making points". You lawyer up and do what he says.

[–] 11 pts

That sucks man, but i hope you document it well and lawyer up. Coercion for a non-fda approved medical procedure is pretty crazy. In clown world who knows which way it would go, but you should have a clear case.

I have not been offered anything in writing nor have I written or signed anything.

[–] 6 pts

When people comment about stuff like that simply ask, will you please provide me that in writing on a company letterhead.

[–] 6 pts

Well, write down what was said and the times. Don't quit, get them to fire you.

I'm not getting the Covid vaccination. Period. Nobody can take my job away. I don't care if I ever fly on a plane again, and have no interest in traveling to other countries. If they keep me out of grocery stores, I guess I can find someone to do my shopping for me. I don't use twitter, FaceBook, or any of these other social sites. I don't own a cell phone and don't want one. I don't give a fuck if I ever seen another movie, or hear another pop song, or see another football game -- that shit means nothing to me. But I am in a fortunate position -- there are many people who cannot refuse the shots, or they will lose their jobs.

[–] 6 pts

I quit my job when they mandated masks and social distancing. No way I am taking an experimental concoction pushed by known liars and criminals

The international travel thing, from what I understand eurocucks won't let you in without your vaccine passport. Fuck them bro, find a job that doesn't require travel to muslim/jew territories

[–] [deleted] 3 pts

They won't let AMERICANS in. This is clear jewish divide and conquer of Europeans.

[–] 3 pts

Nope. Living in Florida, I don't have to make that choice.

[–] 2 pts

Florida is starting to look like the land of the free and the home of the brave more and more every day.

[–] 1 pt

I moved there 3 weeks ago from a blue state, fuck Hawaii and their virus insanity. Things are great in the Panhandle!

Except for ((De Santis)) that is

[–] 1 pt

The (((alternative))) was literally a nigger faggot.

[–] 0 pt

As long as DeSantis is around.....

[–] 2 pts

No. But I will make multiple appointments that I won't keep. The vaccines must be disposed of 12 hours after they have been removed from the freezer. Fuck them.

[–] 0 pt

They just call more people, or will no joke stand outside the pharmacy and be like.

Want a free vaccine?

[–] 1 pt

There's greater vaccine hesitancy than you know.

[–] 2 pts

No. And I'd get a good lawyer and sue the everlovin' shit out of them.

Absolutely NO employer can mandate vaccinations. This is unequivocal. Get everything in writing, give it to a layer, sue them.

[–] 1 pt

Can they legally do that? If so, I'd walk right the fuck out. Your life and quality of it outweighs a job that doesn't truly care about you.

[–] 0 pt

I have decided to leave if those are their requirements. I have been asked to give my two weeks. I have offered them two weeks or until they find someone new. The job requires international travel and they believe that there will be a vaccine requiremeny to do so.

[–] 0 pt

Depends on the state, but there is tons of precedent that it is legal.

A whole lot of what I read disagrees with this. The 10 lawyers in my family disagree. My genius uncle cited the case law out of his head. most notable, the at will part of employment.

From the same place: https://www.statnews.com/2021/04/05/authorization-status-covid-19-vaccine-red-herring-mandating-vaccination/

"A little context to begin: This is new ground. The FDA has never before granted an EUA for a vaccine for the entire population, so there is no perfect precedent here. Employers, especially health care entities, and universities have, however, historically mandated vaccines. These mandates, which are designed to increase safety, stand on solid legal ground, though accommodations may be legally required for those with disabilities or religious beliefs."

So we're both wrong, but I see it happening.

Atheist, btw.

[–] 0 pt

There is not precedent that it is legal. Best I can tell, it's yet unchallenged.

[–] 1 pt

Schools have been this way for decades in some states.

Just search the question and you'll get your answer, in most cases, yes.

Print a fake card. The worst that will happen is you get fired for lying.

[–] 2 pts

Its a line of work where being known as a liar is a very poor decision. I am making my stand here.

[–] 0 pt

Faking a vax card is hardly being a liar.

[–] 3 pts

Yeah you should listen to this guy here. He knows fradulent paperwork will never be seen as a detriment to your reputation.

[–] 0 pt

Some rules are common sense to follow. Mandating jabs is not a common sense rule, so therefore the rules don't apply.

Who is going to know that you lied, unless you're dumb enough to tell everyone that you did?

Print a card and get some legitimate details. And then take the secret to your grave.
